Day 1. Recap  Ontario Snooker Championships "The Corner Bank"

Day 1 turned out to be a very interesting day. We started with 34 players playing preliminary 3/5 matches down to the final 8. some matches went the distance while other were done three straight and of course with all the matches going there were some upsets that no one could have figured on. The final 8 were then put into a draw with the last 8 of the top 16 from the Season Ranking List to play one 3/5 match with 8 proceeding onto a random draw to meet our top 8 from our Season Ranking List. When I look across the matches for the final sixteen I see a lot of tough matches which should make for a very exciting day of Snooker.

Day 2. Recap

Just as we figured , a day of exciting Snooker with the majority of the matches going right down to the wire. But at the end of the day we found three familiar faces at he top and one new comer (Farid Afandi) to the final four. Derrick Claus took on Farid Afandi where Derrick continued his steady play as he has all season with a 4-2 victory. In the other match Floyd Ziegler continued his charge to the finals against Gerald Morrison were he came out on top 4-2. The final match would prove to be a great match with number one and two on this seasons ranking list. Floyd started off strong winning the first game then Derrick come charging back with a good run in the second game to square it all up but then Floyd once again went a head but found himself all square after four. Floyd finished the match off with a couple nice runs in game five and six to become the 2017 Ontario Snooker Champion.

Congratulations: Floyd Ziegler

We would like to thank everyone for their support this season. This game is all about participation and it proves when you participate good things happen.

We will be setting dates for next season throughout the summer months and will post our new season as soon as we have it complete. Early September we will be back on the road to The 2018 Provincial Championships.
